Supporting New Jersey’s seniors. The PHS Senior Living Foundation is a non-profit, philanthropic organization committed to ensuring that New Jersey seniors have convenient access to arts, cultural and educational opportunities. With this as our mission, the Foundation has been making a positive difference in the lives of seniors of all faiths for nearly a century. The Foundation raises funds in a variety of ways. These funds support quality programs and services, finance important capital needs and provide innovative educational programming at PHS Senior Living communities throughout New Jersey. In addition, the Foundation supports arts and education programming that benefits all New Jersey seniors and their families. The Foundation also sponsors the Tomorrow’s Leaders Internship Program for college students interested in pursuing a career serving seniors. Encore is an innovative collaboration between the Foundation and world-class members of the art, dance, music, literature, opera and theatre communities. Under grants from the Foundation, leading arts and culture luminaries present performances, demonstrations and lectures at PHS Senior Living communities. These presentations are free and open to the public. The Senior Living Institute of New Jersey presents monthly educational seminars on topics of particular importance to seniors, such as health, housing and finances. These 45-minute presentations are held at PHS Senior Living communities throughout the state and are open to the public. The Tomorrow’s Leaders Internship Program provides college students with an opportunity to gain practical experience working with seniors in a PHS community. Interns gain direct experience with innovative practices and policies in the field of aging. |
